Corfu- Cheap and Relaxing, Exactly What we Needed

After the crowds of Rome we were looking to kick off our time in Greece with some sitting in the sand.  Corfu is known for some of the best beaches in the Greek isles.  The tiny town of Sidari made things oh so easy;  beers, food and rooms where dirt cheap (relative to Western Europe) and everywhere.

Sunrise at Igoumenitsu aboard our second ferry in route to Corfu

First sight of Corfu on the ferry from mainland Greece

Sidari Beach shallow aquamarine waters made for relaxing

First night's sunset from our balcony

Canal d'Amour Sandstone cliffs

Second night sunset, beach side happy hour

One of our mighty vessels, spent about six and a half hours on this one.  Complete with swimming pool, restaurants, several bars and a mini casino
